Unit 43 American Legion Auxiliary!

Wonderful salads were served and enjoyed by all at our Auxiliary April 14 meeting. Afterwards, business was called to order and election of new officers was held.

Our president for the 2008-09 year is Patty Cussimanio and 1st Vice-President is Alice Friskel. Mary Ann Wivel will resume her duties as 2nd Vice-President, as well as Sharon Papish, Secretary and Sheila Hill, Treasurer. We also welcomed 2 new members, Judy Prince and Rita Swartz.

Poppy distribution will start on Saturday, May 3. Members are asked to meet at the American Legion Hall at 9:00 a.m. to pick up their poppies.

Our next meeting will be Monday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. We will discuss Memorial Day activities, which includes ironing flags on Saturday, May 24 and the festivities on Monday, May 26.
